Bachelor of Accountancy students Aaron Culianan ranked 5th, while Celine Javier reached the top 25 finalists of the 25th Search for Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines (SOASP) conducted by Punongbayan & Araullo Foundation Inc. on March 14, 2024, in Makati City.
The qualifying examination was held virtually, while the quiz bee and interviews were conducted face-to-face.
With approximately 400 participants from different colleges and universities across the country, Culianan and Javier showcased their skills and knowledge covering board examination courses.
“The journey was filled with unexpected challenges—personal struggles and academic demands. Yet, despite these hurdles, participating in the 25th SOASP bestowed upon me great honor and introduced me to a network of new friends from across the country,” said Mr. Aaron Culianan.
The 25th SOASP of Punongbayan & Araullo Foundation Inc. is an annual competition aimed at spotlighting the country’s top graduating accountancy students through qualifying examinations, quiz bee competitions for the top 25 finalists, and interviews for the final round.
