Student leaders and faculty members of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines were invited in a forum with the Journalist Fellows of the East-West Center based in the University of Hawaii on June 29 , 2018 at the Board Room of the Ninoy Aquino Library and Learning Resources Center, PUP Main Campus.
The forum centered on the youth's perspective towards Philippine Government and other timely social and cultural issues.
Among the Senior journalist fellows who visited the University were from the United States of America, Tunisia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, India, Australia, China, Kuwait and Malaysia. They were accompanied by East-West Center Project Coordinator Ms. Liz A. Dorn and the Executive Director of the Philippine Press Institute Mr. Ariel Sebellino.
The event was organized by Communication Management Office, in cooperation with the Institute for Culture and Language Studies, College of Social Sciences and Development's Department of History, and College of Communication's Department of Journalism.
