Student Assistantship Program

 

Student Assistantship is a term of employment applicable to any student of regular academic status.The term of employment is subject to renewal every semester.

Eligibility:

 

1. Must be currently enrolled and at least 2nd Year College

2. With Regular status

3. Must passed all enrolled subjects during the last enrolled semester

4. Must be endorsed by the head of the Office to be served

Entrance Scholarship Program

The Entrance Scholarship is awarded to incoming first year students who passed the Polytechnic University of the Philippines College Entrance Test (PUPCET) under the following categories:

 

1. Any public high school student who belongs to the top ten (10) bracket of the graduating class

2. Cultural Artist

3. Student Athlete

4. Creative Media Artist

5. Campus Journalist

6. Differently-abled learners

7. Graduate from the Alternative Learning System (ALS)

8. Indigenous People (IP)

9. Solo Parent

10. Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Official

11. First Generation College Applicant/ Student from an Indigent Family/Clan

Eligibility

1. Certification from the School Principal (with dry seal) or authorized representative of the Senior High School of the exemplary performance of the applicant as:

  1. Graduate belonging to the top ten

    (10) bracket of the graduating class of at least five hundred (500) graduates

  2. Cultural Artist who has represented the school in competitions or off- campus invitations
  3. Student Athlete who has represented the school in competitions
  4. Creative Media Artist who is a member of the official school organization
  5. Campus Journalist who is a member of the official school organization

2. For differently-abled learners - Photocopy of PWD ID or any other proof of impairment for PWD students

3. For ALS Student-Certification for passing ALS Accreditation and Equivalency (A & E) Assessment and Certification

4. For IP Student- Certificate of Tribe Membership, or any equivalent certification or proof as belonging to indigenous people/indigenous cultural community

5. For Solo Parent -Photocopy of ID and certification from the Barangay as a solo parent

6. For SK Official - Photocopy of ID or Certification or any Proof as SK Official

7. First Generation College Applicant from an Indigent Family/Clan - Photocopy of ID and Certification from the Barangay as a First-Generation College Applicant from an Indigent Family/Clan


 

Applicants of PUP Main Campus:

Register during the schedule of enrollment and submit the documentary requirements according to the instruction

Subject to approval after the submission of documentary requirements:



1. An entrance scholar shall receive a Certification as "Entrance Scholar of PUP."

2. The talents and abilities of entrance scholars shall be nurtured through participation in various trainings provided by relevant offices.

3. The entrance scholarship shall be limited to the full amount of tuition and other school fees.

4. The academic entrance scholars under RA No. 10648 shall be covered by the regular student financial assistance and scholarship programs of the CHED, if qualified, subject to the guidelines that the CHED may provide.

5. The Entrance scholars will be endorsed to private corporations under their corporate social responsibility projects, foundations, and to other government agencies.

6. Recipients of the Entrance Scholarship may apply for other scholarships, financial aid, grants, or special privileges administered by the University.

Issuance of Certification of No Scholarship

 

 

The Certification of Scholarship is one of the documents required by some government agencies and private grantors from their scholarship applicants. This is issued by the Office of Scholarship and Financial Assistance upon the request of the student subject to the verification from official records.

 

To facilitate the request for Certification of No Scholarship, students secure payment to the Finance Management Office and submit to OSFA the copy of the Official receipt either through walk-in or email.

Issuance of  Certification of Scholars’ Records

 

 

The Scholars request for the certification used for the application of scholarships and financial assistance, request for fund to the benefactors and reimbursements of expenses by the scholars are verified based on the existence of the scholarship program and scholarship fund request to the benefactors are validated with the later.

To facilitate the request for Certification of Scholars’ Records, the following documents must be submitted to OSFA:

 

  1. Request letters, forms originated from the benefactors and reports generated by the scholars presented to  benefactor.
  2. Receipts, Requests, Prescription from the experts

All requests for reimbursement must be supported by official receipts and must satisfy the provision in the MOA.

Special Grants Services for Government Funded Scholarship and Financial Assistance Programs

 

 

The Office of Scholarship and Financial Assistance receives list of students from different government agencies for validation and submission of documentary requirements.

 

Students who will qualify will be included in the billing forms and will receive stipends when the fund is already available. The process is completed when the liquidation report has been submitted.

The list of qualifications and documentary requirements depends on the government agency.

Tertiary Education Subsidy Program

 

 

The Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) is a program of RA 10931 (Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act), The program includes free higher education, free technical and vocational education, and a student loan program.

 

The prioritization shall be given to students in the following order: (a) students who are part of households included in the Listahanan 2.0, ranked according to the estimated per capita household income; and (b) students not part of the Listahanan 2.0, ranked according to estimated per capita household income based on submitted documentation of proof of income to be determined by the UniFAST Board

To qualify for the TES program, students must:

 

1. Be a Filipino citizen.

2. Be enrolled in a tertiary education institution in the Philippines, SUCs, CHED-recognized LUCs, or programs at private HEIs in the Registry.

3. Demonstrate financial need.

4. Be qualified for admission and meet retention requirements at State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), or private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and have not exceeded the Maximum Residency Policy of the HEI

5. Not have been expelled from any HEI

6. Meet any other qualification policies required by the UniFAST Board.

Special Grants Services for Private Funded Scholarships

 

 

Students submit application to the Office of Scholarship and Financial Assistance for  Special Grant of partner donors, benefactors, and collaborators.

The application is subject to evaluation of qualifications to the criteria set by  partner donors, benefactors, and collaborators through the provisions of Memorandum of Agreement or Memorandum of Understanding.
