The College of Science (CS) stands at the heart of the country’s first polytechnic university, offering undergraduate programs that prepare students for rewarding careers and positions of leadership in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Statistics, Nutrition and Food Science. Our CS faculty is an exceptional group of professionals who are well-known not only for their contribution in research and creative activities, but for their genuine dedication to undergraduate education as well. This commitment is demonstrated through their innovative teaching methods and enthusiasm in research mentoring.

We passionately believe that the science education offered by CS is the core of what it means to be educated. Our students develop skills in critical thinking and reasoning, analysis, and communication to succeed in a rapidly changing scientific, technological and global environment. CS students consistently receive prestigious scholarships and awards.  They are sought after by the top companies and the best graduate schools in the country. Our alumni are known locally and internationally for their competence in the fields of science, education, engineering, and business.

In addition to being the academic home of almost three thousand students, the College provides science and mathematics course work for the entire student population of the University.  Thus, as an academic community, it is steadfast in its conviction that expanding scientific knowledge will empower us to live better lives and to contribute more to national development.
