Polytechnic University of the Philippines accommodated 24 students from Nanyang Polytechnic from March 7 to March 24 for the Temasek Foundation Scale Program.
Temasek Foundation Scale Program is a program for ASEAN youth that aims individuals to engage in a holistic learning and cross-cultural sharing experience.
The students visited several cultural and historical places such as the Casa Manila, Fort Santiago, Laguna and Rizal. They were also instructed by several PUP faculty members on the basics of the Filipino language, traditional Filipino cuisine, and Philippine's Business and Culture. The students also went on a trip to the Cultural Center of the Philippines and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to further enhance their knowledge on the topics discussed.
On the last day of the program, the students showed a small presentation of their overall educational, social, cultural experiences and learning.
The students were under the supervision of the International Affairs Office headed by Director Maria Teresa C. Villar.
